Office Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and Thursday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
Patient Care Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (Thursday: Special Procedures Only)
We Value Your Time: We make every effort to stay on schedule. Please help us by arriving 5-10 minutes prior to scheduled appointment—this allows you to visit our toothbrush bar prior to the scheduled appointment. We will then seat you promptly for your appointment.
Appointment Scheduling: We have put much effort into a scheduling system to serve our patient families and expedite treatment. There may be some appointments which will require “during school or work” times. In order to be fair to all patients, we alternate “during school” and “after school” appointments. We appreciate your support in helping us with this policy.
Missed Appointments delay treatment: Teeth move as a result of appliance force systems which need to be monitored on a prescribed basis. Missed appointments delay treatment progress and extend treatment time. Since appointments are scheduled six to ten weeks in advance, it may be necessary to reschedule a missed appointment out farther than your original appointment due date and times will be limited.
Emergencies: In orthodontic treatment, there are very few situations which are considered an EMERGENCY.
- TRUE EMERGENCY: injury to the face or teeth which causes severe bleeding, loss/breakage of a tooth/teeth, or cutting the lips, cheeks, or face. in any of these situations please CONTACT an oral surgeon, an emergency room, or your general dentist.
- COMFORT VISIT:
- When a wire has slipped or moved causing poking to the cheek or gums.
- When an expander or Herbst has come loose
- REPAIR:
- When a bracket or band has come loose
- When a wire has broken
- When a colored tie has come off
- When a retainer or Invisalign aligner has broken
Please call our office and leave a message in the Orthodontic Concern Mail Box. Your call will be returned in a timely manner. Please state the nature of your call. True Emergencies will be responded to ASAP. Comfort Visits will be treated the next business day. Use your wax or place a cotton ball in the area of a poking wire to alleviate the problem temporarily. Repairs will be treated on a timely basis, depending on the nature of the repair needed. Time is set aside each day to handle these unexpected events. Most of this time is just prior to or just after lunchtime, so please call if you are aware there is a problem.
Appointment Intervals: Appointment intervals can vary depending on the complexity of the malocclusion. Each patient is individualized and each component of treatment is individualized. We will advise you at each appointment the range of time necessary between appointments.
Initially, we will need to see you more frequently for longer visits (1-1 ½ hours) while appliances are being made and placed. Once appliances are placed, regular adjustments are scheduled at 6 to 10 week intervals for a shorter appointment (20-30min). We use very advanced, high tech braces and the Invisalign system—this allows appointments to be spaced out for longer periods of time—which saves you time and is more efficient for treatment!!
Remember: your appointment is a RESERVATION. Please give us 48 hours advanced notice if you need to reschedule, so we can allow another patient to take the reserved time.
We take all orthodontic insurance plans, with the exception of most HMO and we do not currently participate with any discount plans.
We will be happy to verify benefits on your behalf.
Patients often have a lot of questions when it comes to understanding orthodontic insurance.
The following is a list of frequently asked questions:
Q: What insurance do you take?
A: We take all insurance plans that have a dollar amount associated with them, for example $1000, 1500, 2000, etc. with the exception of most HMO plans and discount plans.
Q: What does the lifetime orthodontic benefit mean?
A: The lifetime benefit is the maximum amount of money your insurance company will pay for orthodontic treatment. For example a dollar amount of $1000 means your insurance company will pay $1000 towards your orthodontic treatment, leaving the remaining balance up to you. Lifetime maximums vary by policy and once reached you will no longer have any benefit as long as you retain your insurance policy.
Q: I have an orthodontic benefit. How does that affect the amount of money out of my pocket?
A: We will subtract your orthodontic benefit from the total amount due for your orthodontic treatment. The remaining balance is your responsibility.
Q: Do I have to file my own insurance?
A: No. We take care of filing your insurance.
Q: Should I use my child's orthodontic benefit now, or wait until later?
A: If your child needs early treatment, our advice is to utilize the benefits you have now. The reason being is that benefits can change by your employer's discretion, career changes, etc. The decision is entirely up to you, but our advice is to use it now while you have it.
As a reminder: When making financial arrangements please remember that all fees are your responsibility regardless of estimated insurance coverage. Insurance benefits can change because of career changes, your employer policies, etc, which are not in the control of Tabacchi Orthodontics. We will let you know if there is any unpaid balance by your insurance company should your benefits change.
We strive to make the finances involved around your orthodontic treatment as simple as possible. All financial arrangement in our office are handled directly by Todd Tabacchi.
We offer great payment options!

Click the link below to be directed to the application for Unicorn/Chase Health Advance Financial Services. It only takes minutes. They will forward your approval to our office and we will be ready for you at your appointment. Many patients apply for this plan before their first visit, so they can get started with their treatment the same day as their initial consultation.

PAYMENT-IN-FULL
Reward yourself with a courtesy discount with this option. We take all major credit and debit cards, flexible spending credit cards, checks, and cash. Many patients who utilize a Health Savings Account like the payment in full option. The benefit of using your Health Savings Account to pay for your orthodontic treatment is that you can use your full amount you opted to put into it before it has actually been deducted from your paycheck. (Plus you get a discount, so you will still have some money to purchase other health related items and services). A lot of our patients also use this plan to gain frequent flyer miles and other awards from their credit cards. Plus, you still receive the added benefit of a discount from us.
IN-OFFICE PAYMENT PLAN
Under this option, patients will have a down payment and convenient monthly payments for up to 12 months with no interest. Monthly payments are set-up on auto-withdrawal for the 1st or the 15th of the month using your credit/debit card or checking account.
At your complimentary consultation, we will discuss the finances pertaining to your treatment options. As always, we welcome your questions and want to make it possible for you to start your orthodontic treatment.
We look forward to having you as our patient! The process of becoming one of our patients starts as soon as you set up an appointment for your complimentary new patient consultation.
After setting up your complimentary consultation, please click on the link at the top of the website to access the New Patient Form. This is a SECURE form, please complete prior to your appointment. This form enables us to learn more about your history of health, allergies to medicines, more specifics on your dental insurance and lastly and most importantly what you would like to gain from your visit with us. If you have orthodontic insurance coverage we will need the social security number of the primary person on your insurance coverage. You can feel safe transmitting your information to us via our secured network.
During your consultation, we want to hear what you are looking to accomplish in having orthodontics. What is it that you would like to have happen with your smile or bite? We will let you know about the various ways to obtain a fantastic smile in our office. Whether it is our high tech braces or Invisalign, we will let you know the possibilities of the systems.
At your consultation, we will take diagnostic orthodontic x-rays, pictures of your smile and teeth and Dr. Tabacchi will perform a thorough evaluation. She will evaluate your bite fit, jaw form and position, and check the overall health of your teeth and gums. Dr. Tabacchi requires a current (within 6-12 months) dental check up with your family dentist to determine the presence of cavities and other dental issues. This is not done at your orthodontic consultation. For younger patients, she will evaluate growth stage , tooth eruption patterns and other developmental areas.
Dr. Tabacchi will then give an overview of your treatment options and an estimated treatment time.
After your treatment option overview, we will discuss treatment fees and payment options. Many of our patients are excited to start their orthodontic treatment. After your consultation, we can set up your start appointment!
